96,982 new coronavirus reported in India:- The total tally of daily cases crossed 1 lakh mark yesterday but there has a slight decline in the daily cases today. A total number of 96,982 new cases for coronavirus are reported in the country in the last 24 hours and 446 people passed away in the last 24 hours. Out of the 96,982 cases, 47,288 cases are reported in Maharashtra. The daily count of Chhattisgarh climbed to 7302. The active cases of coronavirus in the country are 7,88,223. The total number of coronavirus cases in the country are now at 1,26,86,049 and the total death tally is at 1,65,547. A total number of 43 lakh people took up the vaccination for coronavirus yesterday and 8,31,10,926 people took up coronavirus vaccination in total in India.

The Delhi government announced night curfews from 10 PM to 5 AM in New Delhi from today and these would continue till April 30th to prevent the spread of coronavirus. 50,143 people got discharged in the country in the last 24 hours as per the reports coming from the Union Health Ministry. Telangana reported 1498 new cases for coronavirus along with six new deaths. As per the reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research, the total samples tested in the country till date are said to be 25,02,31,269 and the samples tested yesterday are 12,11,612. The Centre announced that there would be no restrictions on inter-state and the intra-state movement for goods and essentials.
