Telangana to hire 755 health staff to battle coronavirus:- Telangana is slowly turning out to be a hub for the spread of coronavirus. The new cases saw a remarkable rise in the state in the recent weeks. The Telangana government announced that it will be taking all the measures to curb the virus. The government now decided to appoint 755 health personnel that also includes 144 doctors in the next five days to battle coronavirus in Telangana. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) asked the officials and the district collectors to issue a notification for the same and the recruit the health professionals at the earliest. Special interviews will be conducted in the next couple of days after which the list would be zeroed in.
KCR ordered the officials to appoint the staff in five days in the 114 government hospitals of Telangana. The Chief Minister's office also issued a press release for the same. KCR took this immediate decision after the surge in the number of coronavirus cases in Telangana. The order for 144 doctors, 84 lab technicians and 527 nurses is issued and the roles will be sanctioned. This would have a financial burden of Rs 9.02 crores on the government of Telangana. On the other side, Telangana Chief Minister KCR also announced a free vaccine for the people of the state aged between 18 and 45. The fresh vaccination drive will commence from May 1st. 6,551 new cases of coronavirus are reported in the last 24 hours and the total number of cases reached 4,01,783. There are 65,597 active cases in Telangana and 1418 new cases are reported in the limits of Hyderabad.
