Huzurabad Bypoll: 27 Independents To Test Their Luck:- In a sudden shock, Etala Rajendar, the Health Minister of Telangana was sacked from his position after he was allegedly involved in a land scam. Rajendar submitted his resignation for MLA of Huzurabad and the membership of TRS soon. The bypoll will be conducted this month and the nominations are accepted. All the political parties are aggressively campaigning in the constituency. There are lot of independents contesting in the polls and the major political parties are trying hard to convince the independents to withdraw their nominations from the polls. Close to 27 independents are contesting in the Huzurabad bypoll for now andthe deadline to withdraw their nominations ended up yesterday.

Apart from TRS, Congress and BJP, 27 independents are contesting in the polls through unrecognized parties. TRS and BJP are quite worried about the vote split but they have nothing much to do now as the deadline for the withdrawal of the nominations is completed already. TRS lost to BJP in Dubbak bypoll after which Telangana Chief Minister KCR has been focused on the bypoll of Huzurabad. A total number of 61 candidates filed their nomiations and 23 sets of nominations have been rejected. 42 applications are approved and some of them decided to withdraw their nominations. Gellu Srinivas Yadav is contesting from TRS, Etala Rajendar is contesting from BJP and Balmoor Venkat Narsing Rao is the candidate for Congress. The election will take place on October 30th.
