KCR Announces Closure Of Educational Institutions In Telangana:- Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) conducted a review meeting with the Health officials in Pragati Bhavan last evening and took some crucial decisions as the spread of the Omicron variant is huge across the country. KCR announced that all the educational institutions across the state will be closed from January 8th to 16th and he asked them to follow the instructions. He also ordered the Health Department to make swift arrangements and be prepared for the third wave. He asked the officials to recheck about the availability of the beds, medicines, testing kits and oxygen cylinders in the state.

KCR also instructed the Health Department to fill all the vacancies in the next 15 days considering the spread of the Omicron variant. The active Omicron cases in the state reached 100 and are increasing. Several states imposed restrictions but the government of Telangana made it clear that there would be no night curfews or lockdown for now in the state. The government asked the people to wear facemasks without fail and follow all the social distancing guidelines in the state. KCR also instructed the officials to expand the Basthi Dhavakanas to many more towns and cities of Telangana at the earliest.
