71,365 new Covid-19 cases reported in India:- A total number of 71,365 new cases of coronavirus are reported in the country in the last 24 hours. The cases have been coming down in the recent weeks which is a good sign. The total reported cases of coronavirus in India till date reached 4,24,10,976 and the total number of recoveries in India are said to be 4,10,12,869. There are 8,92,828 active cases of coronavirus in the country and the total deaths climbed to 5,05,279. The total vaccination doses administered in India are said to be 1,70,87,06,705 and 53,61,099 doses are given yesterday. 1,217 people died in the last 24 hours and the total death tally climbed to 5,05,279.

The active cases are 2.11 percent of the total reported cases and the daily positivity rate dipped down to 4.54 percent. The active cases saw a difference in 1,02,063 in just a day. Most of the states lifted the restrictions in the country after a steep decline in the new cases of coronavirus. As per the reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the total samples tested on February 8th for coronavirus are 15,71,726 and the total samples tested in the country in total are said to be 74,46,84,750. The Union Health Ministry asked the people to continue wearing face masks when they are in public and follow social distancing.
