AP Assembly's Tribute to Mekapati Gowtham Reddy:- Andhra Pradesh Minister and non-controversial leader Mekapati Gowtham Reddy passed away recently after he suffered a massive heart attack. He passed away on February 21st and he was cremated with state honours. AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy moved a resolution in the state's Assembly and paid tributes to Mekapati Gowtham Reddy. YS Jagan said that he lost a close friend and his position is irreplaceable. It is quite tough to digest the fact that Mekapati Gowtham Reddy is no more told YS Jagan. "Mekapati Gowtham Reddy was elder to me but he used to call me brother. After I came out from Congress, Gowtham was one of the very few leaders who supported me" told YS Jagan.

"We will work for the fulfillment of his dreams in Nellore district very soon. We will complete the Veligonda project which can bring drinking water to Udayagiri. We will also complete the Sangam barrage project in six weeks and we will rename the project after Mekapati Gowtham Reddy. He played a crucial role in bringing projects for Andhra Pradesh. He worked for the development of the state till his last breath. We will also set up an Agricultural University in Udayagiri very soon" told YS Jagan. Several YSRCP leaders expressed their condolences for Mekapati Gowtham Reddy in the state Assembly on the second day of the Assembly sessions.
