KCR decides to go ahead with Protest in New Delhi:- Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao along with his family members flew to New Delhi on Sunday evening. The Chief Minister's office sought the appointment of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and KCR wanted to discuss about the procurement of paddy issue with the Prime Minister. KCR and his office received no intimation about the appointment. KCR already planned a massive protest against the Centre in New Delhi on April 11th and KCR now decided to go ahead with the plan. All the TRS leaders, MLAs, MPs and supporters will fly to New Delhi to participate in the protest.

This would be the first protest of TRS and KCR after they made it to the power in 2014. With the Centre not ready to procure paddy from Telangana farmers, the government decided to head for a protest. KCR held a meeting with the TRS MPs on Monday and finalized the route map. The leaders of several regional parties too will be invited along with the farmer unions like Rakesh Tikait of Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) and Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM). The protest will have more than 10,000 people in attendance. Rythu Bandhu Samiti leaders along with the Chairpersons of Primary Agriculture Credit Societies too will participate in the protests. KCR is expected to return back to Hyderabad this evening if he is not given an appointment to meet the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
