Rahul Gandhi announces a nationwide yatra from October 2nd:- Congress is currently in its worst phase ever. Most of the leaders are inactive and others walked out making their alternate political plans. A three-day brainstorming retreat of Congress took place in Udaipur and it came to an end on Sunday. The Congress Working Committee passed the 'Udaipur Declaration' so that the party would get ready for the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections that are scheduled to take place in 2024. Rahul Gandhi announced a nationwide yatra of the party that will kickstart from October 2nd. Speaking at the event, Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi said that the party and the leaders would work with refreshed spirit. "With enough determination, Congress will work for 'Nav Sankalp' and an advisory group will be set up from the Congress Working Committee members to deliverate the political challenges" told Sonia.
Congress will launch Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kashmir to Kanyakumari on the eve of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanthi on October 2nd. The second phase of Jan Jagran Yatra will be launched at the district levels from June 15th. Congress also decided to set up three new departments: public insight, election management and national training. All those who are under 50 years of age will be given wider representation. 'One family one ticket' rule will be implemented. This will help new people get a chance. Five separate groups: political, economic, farmers youth, social justice and organizational issues are formed and they will submit reports for the party.
