AP Government Withdraws Rs 800 Cr From GPF:- The government of Andhra Pradesh is said to have withdrawn Rs 800 crores from the GPF accounts that belonged to 90,000 employees without their knowledge. Andhra Pradesh Government Employees Association President K Rama Suryanarayana accused the government and warned that they would head for legal proceedings against the government of Andhra Pradesh. The employees noticed that the PF amount was withdrawn and informed the association. K Rama Suryanarayana checked his own PF account and noticed that Rs 83,000 was withdrawn. The AP government promised the association to credit the PRC and DA arrears to the accounts. The DA arrears that are given to the employees in the last six months have been withdrawn.
This is not the first time this happened. When the issue was raised in the past, the AP government returned back the amount. It happened after the employees went to the senior officials of the Finance Department to lodge a complaint. The employees are meeting again and a complaint would be lodged against this very soon. They blamed the YS Jagan's government for the same. AP has been battling with huge financial crisis for the past few months. The loans taken went overboard and the RBI too has been rejecting new loans. The CFMS of the Finance Department of the state has the technology to withdraw the PF of the employees from their accounts.
