Kaleshwaram lift irrigation scheme: Revanth Reddy slams KCR:- In a recent development, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has declared that the government will take strict action to recover the money that was misappropriated during the construction of the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation scheme. He mentioned that the government will not hesitate to invoke the Revenue Recovery Act, which allows the recovery of dues from individuals or entities in certain cases. Revanth Reddy highlighted the evidence of massive corruption in the execution of the project, as reported by the CAG and the Vigilance & Enforcement (V&E). He stated that the government will use the Revenue Recovery Act to recover the funds lost due to corruption from anyone involved in the scheme.

Earlier in the day, Revanth Reddy announced that the government would present the V&E report on the Medigadda barrage and a White Paper on irrigation projects in the ongoing Assembly Budget Session. He expressed his intention to hold a debate in the Assembly on the corruption and irregularities in the execution of irrigation projects during the BRS regime, which led to significant financial losses for the state and pushed Telangana into a debt trap. During the review on KLIS at Medigadda, Revanth Reddy, along with several ministers, Congress legislators, and AIMIM legislators, was given presentations on the lapses by irrigation officials and L&T with respect to the Medigadda barrage. He criticized Rao's meeting in Nalgonda as a political move ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.
