Alla Ramakrishna Reddy returns back to YSRCP:- In an interesting twist in the political realm, Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, the MLA of Mangalagiri, has returned to the YSRC party in the presence of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. Previously, Ramakrishna Reddy had left the YSRC and joined the Congress when Y.S. Sharmila, Jagan Mohan Reddy's sister, became the president of the APCC. Political circles view Ramakrishna Reddy's decision as a prodigal son returning home. Accompanied by his brother, Rajya Sabha member Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy, and YSRC Mangalagiri incharge Ganji Chiranjeevi, Ramakrishna Reddy met the CM at Tadepalli on Tuesday to rejoin the YSRC party.
Ramakrishna Reddy expressed his support for Sharmila's 3,600-km padayatra in Telangana. When her YSR Telangana Party failed to make headway and she was unable to join the Congress in Telangana, Sharmila agreed to become the president of the AP Congress unit to revive the party. Ramakrishna Reddy openly declared his support for her and began associating with the Congress. Ultimately, he decided to part ways with Jagan Mohan Reddy and switch to the APCC.
Ramakrishna Reddy felt stifled in the Congress and made the decision to withdraw his support. On Tuesday, he reached out to Jagan Mohan Reddy and expressed his commitment to assist the party in the upcoming elections. Ramakrishna Reddy acknowledged the YSRC for granting him the opportunity to be elected as an MLA twice. He emphasized his strong affinity for the YSRC, which prompted his return to the party.
Ramakrishna Reddy predicted that Lokesh would face defeat in Mangalagiri once again, this time at the hands of a BC leader. He expressed regret for his two-month absence from the YSRC and declared his determination to secure victory for the party in Mangalagiri. Praising Jagan Mohan Reddy, Ramakrishna Reddy likened him to his father, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, and commended his leadership. Ramakrishna Reddy deferred the decision on the candidate for Mangalagiri to the party leadership, and expressed his willingness to contribute wherever his services were required.
