Raghurama Krishna Raju blames YS Jagan for denial of Ticket:- Raghurama Krishna Raju, the current MP of Narasapuram, has accused Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy of influencing the BJP's decision to not give him a ticket for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Raju expressed his disappointment after the BJP released its list of candidates for Andhra Pradesh. Despite being elected from Narsapuram in 2019 as a member of the YSRCP, Raju later became a rebel within the party due to his disagreements with the YSRCP and CM Jagan. He had hoped that either the TDP or BJP would field him from Narasapuram for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, but both parties overlooked him. The TDP assigned the Narasapuram constituency to the BJP as part of their seat sharing agreement. As a result, Srinivasa Varma has been chosen as the BJP candidate for Narasapuram. Feeling shocked and betrayed by the denial of a ticket, Raju held a press conference on Sunday night and accused Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy of plotting to kill him a long time ago.
He recalled being subjected to severe beatings by state police officers. Refusing to grant a ticket to RRR will not only have an impact on the likelihood of winning in Narasapuram, but it will also lead to funding issues in three seats within the Lok Sabha segment. Nimmala Ramanaidu in Palakollu, Bommidi Nayakar in Narasapuram, and Bolisetti Srinu in Tadepalligudem are strong contenders in their respective constituencies, but lack financial resources. They are relying on RRR for funding. All three seats are highly favorable for the alliance to win. Now, the responsibility lies with Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan to provide them with financial assistance, otherwise these guaranteed seats will be lost. Narasapuram should have been an easy win for the BJP with Raghu Rama Krishna Raju, but the new candidate Bhupathiraju Srinivas Varma is relatively unknown and may face difficulties.
