Symbol Issue: Big Relief for Janasena:- To a great relief to the Janasena and its allies, the glass cup is used as a common symbol of the Janasena. The commission clarified that there is no possibility of awarding the glass symbol to other candidates in constituencies where Janasena is not a candidate and sent instructions to district election officials on Sunday. Mr Janasena sent a letter to the Central Election Commission last week seeking an explanation. If this symbol is given to other seats where Janasena is not a candidate, there is a possibility that votes for Janasena will not flow to the TDP or the BJP in those seats.

Therefore, this decision of the Commission comes as a huge relief to the Janasena, TDP and the BJP. For Janasena, the problem is still not completely resolved. Parties such as Navaln Congress Party and Jatiya Janasena Party are trying to confuse voters with symbols resembling glass tambars and candidate names similar to Janasena candidates. The Navalny Congress Party has a bucket symbol resembling a glass cup and its candidate names are similar to Janasena candidates in many seats.

Jatiya Janasena Party is trying to confuse voters by using party and candidate names similar to JSP candidates. However, these are technical issues and the Election Commission may not be able to assist in this scenario. In the Telangana elections, the scooter, stick and road roller chapatti symbols, which are similar to the BRS car symbol, received a significant amount of votes due to symbol confusion. BRS supporters claim these symbols led to candidates' defeats in closely contested seats. BRS consulted the Election Commission and took this issue to court, but no relief was obtained.
