Hyderabad Girl Killed in US

Hyderabad girl, G Arpana, 23, died in a road accident in Nashville in Tennessee in the United States late on Hyderabad girl killed in road accident 2010, Nashville in Tennessee in the United States Friday night (wee hours of Saturday as per IST).

Arpana and her twin Archana had gone to the US two-and-half years ago to study MS Pharmacy at Murray State University, Kentucky.

The girl's cousin G Srikanth told, they came to know about the accident on Saturday at around 12 noon. Five students, including the twins Archana and Arpana had gone to Nashville to attend a marriage, he said.

"While they were returning to Kentucky, a speeding truck hit the car from the rear. Arpana and Archana, who were sitting in the rear seat, suffered serious injuries. The other friends immediately shifted them to hospital in Nashville. Arpana succumbed while undergoing treatment, while Archana's condition is said to be critical and she has slipped into a coma," he added.

The family of the twins stays in General Bazar in Secunderabad. Their father, G Ravinder, has his own business. Their elder brother, G Chandrasekhar, completed studies in the UK and returned to the city a few months ago.

Efforts have begun to ship the girl's body to India.

Relatives and friends rushed to the twins' house at General Bazar to console the bereaved family.
