Amid widespread media reports that Reddy community leaders have ganged up to take control of the Telangana agitation from the hands of the Velama family led by TRS president K. Chandrasekhara rao, Telangana political JAC chairman Professor Kodanda Ram, whose full name is Kodanda Ram Reddy, said today that the agitation for attaining Telangana state will be intensified from May.
Speaking to media persons in Hyderabad this afternoon, Kodanda Ram said that they will soon form a national JAC in Delhi to carry out the struggle for Telangana. “We are leaving for Delhi on April 25 in this connection,” he said.
Criticizing the Government’s move to install statues of Telugu legendaries on Tank Bund, Kodanda Ram has asked the Government to wait till the formation of Telangana state. “There is no hurry to do that,” he told the government.
He also said that the JAC will agitate to ensure the cancellation of GO No.177 and the JAC workers will hold rallies with candles opposing the GO.
