An Evening of Jazz Music and Contemporary Dance is `Hyderabad Shuffle’ (HS), an event that took place on Sunday in Hyderabad. HS was held at the National Institute of Fashion Technology in the city vibes well with the youth say the organizers. HS went a step further and set trend for the mix of culture and was of course well welcomed by many.

“Usually we see newbies opening for established performers. But in Hyderabad Shuffle, we reversed it to give more emphasis to the newcomers,” said Rumana Sinha Sehgal, the producer - Serendipity. “We need to break the stereotypes of how Hyderabad just fosters classical artistes. We also need to create awareness to break the image that Hyderabad lags behind Bengaluru and Mumbai in terms of young experimental art forms,” she added.

For Rumana it was however not a cake walk to make the even a success. The techi turned event organizer first attended an event in her son’s school and was lured into the line. She was out here to prove that Hyderabad was not behind the other cosmopolitans like the Mumbai or Bengaluru. She also wanted to make a signature that `we have gone beyond’ and this show was a classical sample of her prowess.

On her vision for the event, the organizer felt that the event will now go places to show the nation, flavor of the city. She signed off stating, “I would love to take Hyderabad Shuffle to the popular Kala Ghoda festival in Mumbai.”

Hyderabad Shuffle` is Serendipity’s inaugural foray in bringing together two different genres and art forms to create an enthralling experience. `While JAZZ for Joy` are well recognized masters in the rarified field of Jazz music. `FEET on EARTH` is a new and exciting Group with their original performance `TRAJECTORY` being an eclectic mix of Indian Classical and World Dance forms.
