Police To Stop Devineni Uma Hunger Strike

TDP leader and Vijayawada Mylavaram MLA Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao decided to start indefinite fasting to support Samaikyandhra Movement.   He was to start it from Friday but postponed it due to the death of TDP Vice President Lal Jan Basha whose last rites were performed on Friday.

The police did not give permission for the fasting of Uma.  But the preparations to going on with the fasting made police to deploy forces at the residence of Uma to disrupt the attempt.

Devineni was asked earlier by Malladi Vishnu MLA from Central Vijayawada constituency, former Minister Devineni Rajasekhar not to go on hunger strike at this time but to first ask Chandra Babu Naidu to withdraw the letter given by him to the Central Government to go ahead with the bifurcation of the State.

Devineni complained that a conspiracy is going on to arrest him to stop him from going to the Deeksha place.  Tension is prevailing in the Gollapudi Center where the dais is prepared for the hunger strike of Devineni and police are waiting at Gollapudi Mile stone Center to stop him.
