Govind and Sujatha, a couple from Nellore district went to Vijayawada to get blessings of Kanaka Durga on Thursday. They stayed at Shirdi Lodge near old bus stand. They did have a darshan of Durga on Friday.

On the night the Govind telephoned his in laws at Nellore to convey his father in law that he killed his daughter. Perturbed parents of Sujatha went to Vijayawada and took help of police.

When they went to the lodge and opened the door they found the corpse of Sujatha. Police registered a case against Govind and searching for him.
