Bar Association Demands High Court Bench at Vizag

A letter was sent to the GoM by the Visakhapatnam Bar Association who demanded establishment of High Court at Visakhpatnam whether bifurcation happens or not.

The contention of the Bar Association is that the Seemandhra lawyers practicing in the High Court are facing problems at Hyderabad due to the hostility of Telangana lawyers.

It is also mentioned in their letter to GoM signed by the President of the Visakhapatnam Bar Association Badrinath that the demand for a High Court Bench is as old as 1955 as Hyderabad is far away for the East Godavari and Coastal Andhra.

GoM was requested to recommend it to the Government and competent authority on establishing High Court Bench preferably at Visakhapatnam if the bifurcation is inevitable.  They also mentioned in the letter that the High Court Bench can be established at Vijayawada or Guntur and Tirupati.
