Congress party has woven such a political situation that anything is possible in the process of state bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. It may stop at the President and may not go to Rajyasabha, it may stop at Rajyasabha, It may face hurdle in Loksabha, or elections may be announced in the meanwhile and n number of possibilities are there to stop bifurcation. At the same time the Congress Government also given clear indication that it is keen on bifurcation and it will go ahead if it wants to despite any hindrances.
Now, before getting the bill to such a state from where it cannot be called back, the Congress party wants to ensure that the TRS party merges with Congress party. That is the reason why The party Chief Secretary Digvijay singh called TRS Chief KCR on Saturday to talk about the merger issue.
KCR as per the sources agreed for the merger in principle but he wanted to ensure that the separate Telangana State will become a reality. For that Digvijay Singh assured him that it can be left to him and it will certainly be done if TRS merges with Congress party.
The dilemma of the TRS party is what if something happens and the process of bifurcation gets stalled. Although he is assuring everyone that the Telangana State will certainly be formed and he will get it from Delhi, he apparently has his own doubts about it.
That way both Congress and TRS want to play it safe but much time is not left now for long deliberations. Digvijay Singh also offered a good political position on the national platform. So the confusions are prevailing in the minds of TRS leaders about the merger as so far they are in questioning position but after a decision is taken they will be in an answerable position at home!
