You may wonder this person might be an US citizen however, the man behind the massive $19 billion deal of Facebook and WhatsApp is an Indian. He is a graduate from IIT and management passed out from Indian School of Business, Neeraj Arora. He served as the principal, corporate development, at Google till November 2011 and later shifted to WhatsApp in the Business department.
WhatsApp main focus is to provide ads, games free messenger to users and even after this huge deal, WhatsApp is set to continue with same functions. Apart from Neeraj's pivotal role in the Facebook deal, he proved that he can convince anybody with his innovative thoughts. Neeraj was one when Reliance Communications introduced the unlimited package of WhatsApp for just Rupees 16. He held meeting with the Anil Ambani over this project and satisfied the Ambani with his business plans and the offer was massive success for both Reliance and WhatsApp.
Neeraj saw the importance of growing smartphone users in the Indian continent and brought special packages from the Telecom companies for the WhatsApp and today in India there are about 35 million users of WhatsApp. Apart from this, Neeraj is also an investor in Pune-based MindTickle which provides a Cloud-based gamified and social learning platform that makes the training experience extremely engaging. MindTickle is co-owned by ISB friend Mohit Garg who says Neeraj has the supernatural potential to identify opportunities.
Neeraj assured a WhatsApp user when asked about any changes in the messenger service after Facebook buying, he replied, “Nothing will change.”
