Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is in a threat of losing his 'Padma' award which the Union government rewarded him in the year 2010. Going into the story, Saif was involved in a fight with a South African based businessman in the year 2012 in a restaurant where Saif was accused of hitting the victims. Later, the businessman filed a complaint at the nearest police station and Saif who was along with two of his friend surrendered.

As a Mumbai court had framed charges against Saif for alleged involvement in the scuffle, an RTI activist S C Agrawal filed a complaint with the Union home ministry on March 14  demanding to take back the 'Padma'  award.  However the matter is still under examination and the government sources say a appropriate decision would be taken once the verdict is out.
