‘BX1E': an electric plane that flies on charging it

Chinese authorities have manufactured the world’s first electric plane naming it as “BX1E” that has a 14.5-meter wingspan and a maximum payload of 230 kg.
  
An electric charge of two hours is enough for the plane to fly for 45 minutes to an hour at a maximum speed of 160 kmph.

Shenyang Aerospace University and Liaoning general aviation academy situated in the northeastern Liaoning province, designed the plane.

The first two planes were delivered to Liaoning Ruixiang General Aviation Co. Ltd on Thursday.

The aircraft can be used for pilot training, tourism, meteorology and rescue operations, the manufacturer specified.
