In a shocking incident,a family commited suicide by jumping before a running train near Amadalavalasa mandal of Srikakulam district on Friday.

According to the officials, the victims were identified as Gangetla Srinivasa Rao (42), his wife Sarojini (38) and children Umamaheswari (12) and Jagadeswari (9) jumped before the Bhubaneswar-bound Visakha Express around 9.30 a.m. They took this extreme step because of huge loss in the business and other transactions. Money lenders use to pressurize them to repay loans due to which Srinivasa Rao to take the extreme step.

Srikakulam Police personnel and Government Railway police staff reached the spot. The bodies were sent to RIMS for post-mortem.
