The latest rumors which are doing rounds in the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) circuit, is that, the State’s Chief Minister (CM), KCR’s son, KTR, would soon be elevated as the CM of Telangana.
KCR is considering with the idea, of introducing his son KTR, as the second CM of the State, and the muhurat has been reportedly fixed as December 2017, rumors say.
Keeping an eye on the upcoming 2019 elections, KCR is keen to promote his son as his successor. It is buzzed that KCR, would also handover the responsibilities to his son, and he would move into the National politics.
Even reliable sources in the TRS party, revealed that, KTR may get a main post of TRS Working President in the plenary, organized on the occasion, of party foundation day, on April 27. KCR has already made up his mind to promote KTR, as the next boss after him in the party, and would handover the party rules to KTR. But, before raising him as the CM, KCR wants his son, to go through a series of tests.
Although, KTR became prominent, as the key power center in the State, in the three years, and managed to get a grip over administration, yet KCR feels that it is not enough to raise him as the CM. Hence, it is rumored that, KCR has given instructions to his son, to increase his public image, and told him to prove himself, as the leader of masses like KCR.
Further, KCR, is said to have appointed a team of leaders, to ascertain the public response from people on KTR’s public speeches and leadership qualities. Although, KTR is a good orator and effective in communication, KCR is a crowd seeker, and way ahead than his son. KTR is still lagging behind his father, and is now told to interact with the public more.
The regular public meetings, attended by KTR, in the districts, are a clear hint, that, he will soon step into the shoes of his father, by the end of this year, if all goes well.
However, it all depends on the abilities of the Minister, who has already given free hand to perform his duties. If KTR could not prove himself, then KCR will continue as the CM, till the next general elections. Once the party retains its power, KTR will be the second CM of Telangana.
