In a disgusting incident, a 17-year old youth was hacked to death in Puducherry by members of an unidentified gang, yesterday.

The gang members severed the victim’s head and threw it inside a police station in neighboring Tamil Nadu. The victim was identified as Swethan. The body of the deceased was dumped in a lake bed in Bahoor village of Puducherry.

The police teams of both the Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry are investigating the incident. The body was shifted to the Puducherry government hospital for post mortem.

Police have registered a case and are investigating the gruesome crime.
