IT Tower To Be Constructed In Khammam : KTR:- Minister for NRI Affairs K.T.Rama Rao reiterating the State Government’s commitment in expanding the IT operations in tier II towns in the State, said an IT tower would be constructed in Khammam soon.

This move comes after Khammam MLA P. Ajay took an initiative to develop IT sector in the district. KTR while interacting with NRIs at Sacramento in California, a few NRIs following the initiative, have come forward to establish IT industry in the district.

Rao said “The State Government will extend all support to NRIs in their initiatives.” He further explained the different welfare programmes taken up in the State.

IT Tower Soon In Khammam Says Minister KTR

The Minister explained about the recent advancements in the IT sector in the city and said that the State government was focusing on development of data analytics and the data security sectors. “All the opportunities are being explored”, the minister added. During his interaction with the NRIs, he called upon them to play an active role in the development of the State as they did during the Telangana movement.

KTR informed that the NRIs in their respective hometowns and villages, can take up different welfare programmes. To this effect, the Central Government’s India Development Fund will facilitate in taking up different welfare programmes in rural areas and the funds would be specifically utilized for the purposes. Citing example of some NRIs who took up welfare programmes in Nalgonda and Suryapet districts, he urged the others to implement the same.

The Minister said the NRIs should strive for development of schools, primary health care centres, libraries and other facilities in their hometowns and villages. Taking a dig at the opposition parties, KTR said the Telangana Government during its three years rule, had made rapid strides in power, irrigation and agriculture sectors. He further stated that programmes like Mission Bhageeratha and Mission Kakatiya were achieving national acclaim and the State Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will achieve Bangaru Telangana with the support and blessings of local people.

KTR further said “What opposition parties could not achieve during their 60 years rule, Telangana Government managed it in three years. The opposition parties are confined to making baseless criticism.”
