CMR Engineering College Lecturer Arrested For Cheating His Wife:- A lecturer of CMR Engineering college was arrested today for cheating his wife, by getting married for the second time.
Hailing from Gollapudi in Vijayawada, the accused C. Balaji is residing at NBT Nagar along with his wife Durgamani (32). For a few years, Balaji was in a relationship with Durgamani and in 2009 the couple got married. They have been blessed with a son even.
From 2015, the things went wrong as he began harassing her and demanded to get a dowry of Rs 10 lakh. He also forced his wife to undergo abortion six times.
However, the atrocities of the accused did not stop there, as last month he threatened her to get married again. Durgamani on June 8, discovered that Balaji got married. On further questioning by her, Balaji beat her despite she being pregnant and threatened to kill her, if she raises her voice. The victim then approached the Banjara Hills Police, who lodged a case against Balaji. The accused has been sent in remand and an inquiry has been ordered, said SI Govardhan Reddy.
