Seventh Edition Of Airtel Hyderabad Marathon To Be Held On August 20?:- Under the aegis of the runners club Hyderabad Runners, the seventh edition of the Airtel Hyderabad Marathon, will be held on August 20.

The announcement was made by the organizers of the event. On August 20, the premier event of Hyderabad will have full, half marathon and 10k run, while the fun run 5k will be held on August 19. Race director Abhijeet Madnukar said, the Hyderabad runners is also celebrating its 10th year. At the event, the t-shirts and the finishers medals have been unveiled.

The organizers of the event are expecting as many as 20,000 participants from different cities of the country. The full and half marathon will begin from the People’s Plaza in Necklace Road and the 10k will start from Hitex Grounds, with all the three ending at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium. With the help of Telangana State government, the Hyderabad Runners are making elaborate arrangements to make it a grand success.

“Around 3,500 volunteers for the race have been roped in to make sure that the event runs smoothly. We have also received help from the Hyderabad and Cyberabad police, GHMC and government who have been helping us right from the beginning in 2011. Today the event has become one of the best in the country. To keep the participants motivated, we have planned entertainment across the route to keep the participants motivated,” Abhijeet said.

For making the event synonymous with Hyderabad, State Minister for IT, Commerce and Industries, KT Rama Rao also hailed the Hyderabad Runners society. KTR added that, “This is our premier sporting event. In its initial year, the event witnessed 1,200 participants and now it has grown to have around 20,000 participants. That shows the importance of the event. To make it a successful one, we will provide all the support from the government.”

The last date for the registrations is July 15. The full and half marathon will have the fee of Rs 1,200 while the 10k will have 900. The fun run 5k has the fee of Rs 600.
