AP Tourism Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya’s Sensational Comments:- The challenges and counter challenges are flying thick and fast, with politics hotting up in poll-bound Nandyal.
Amid reports that Bhuma faction is facing a rising task, Allagadda MLA and AP Tourism Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya again said that “If the TDP fails to win the bypoll, she would resign her post.”
Challenging the Bhuma family again, is Bhuma clan’s arch rival and Nandyal strongman Silpa Mohan Reddy. The Bhumas were with the YSRCP, while Silpas were with the TDP, in the past. Now the roles are reversed. Following the sudden death of Bhuma Nagi Reddy, the Nandyal bypoll is necessitated. Nagi Reddy won on YSRCP ticket and then defected to the TDP.
On Sunday, Akhilapriya in support of the TDP candidate and her cousin Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy, launched Praja Ashirwada Yatra. She said, “she would not go back on her word” and added that “she would send her resignation to Speaker Kodela if the TDP loses.”
Bhuma family, from all the accounts, is fighting with its back to the wall against a hugely popular and resurgent YSRCP candidate.
