“We are closely working with the National Highway Authority of India and soon these two projects will start. I can only urge the farmers and land owners who lose their land to co-operate with us. They will be compensated handsomely,” the Minister said.

The Uppal elevated corridor is estimated to cost around Rs 960 crore. Moreover, the project is expected to ease the flow of traffic not only in the Uppal core area, but also to make life easy for commuters traveling towards Yadadri and Warangal. Of the Rs 960 crore, the State government has allocated close to Rs 330 crore only for land acquisition, while the rest is for the construction of the corridor.
