Justice Dipak Mishra Sworn-In As The New CJI Of India

Justice Dipak Mishra Sworn-In As The New CJI Of India:- As the tenure of Justice JS Khehar comes to an end, Justice Dipak Misra (64) was sworn-in as the new Chief Justice of India on Monday.

According to reports, CJI Khehar nominated Justice Mishra for the top judicial post last month. Mishra has practiced in Constitutional, Civil, Criminal, Revenue, Service and Sales Tax matters in the Orissa High Court and the Service Tribunal.

On May 24, 2010, Justice Misra became the Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court and on October 10, 2011, he got promoted as a Judge in the Supreme Court of India.

President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vice President Venkaiah Naidu were present at the oath taking ceremony.
