Veteran Actress Vani Viswanath Joins TDP:- Veteran and yesteryear South actress Vani Viswanath has confirmed entering politics. After visiting the Tirumala recently, Vani in a TV interview said that she had joined Telugu Desam Party (TDP).

“When I was shooting for Jaya Janaki Nayaka, I told my manager that I wanted to meet Chandrababu Naidu, who immediately asked me whether I was interested in politics. That’s how it started,” she revealed to the channel. Vani added that she would do everything entrusted to her by the party. Interestingly, Vani is ready to contest from anywhere in the state.

Talking about former actress Roja, Vani states that she does not hold any personal grudges against her. “Roja is a good actress and if I contest against her, it will not be personal. It will be a political rivalry. Nagari is the gateway of Andhra Pradesh as the state start from this city, so I want to start from here. I don’t want to contest only from Nagari, but if the party asks of me, I am ready to contest from anywhere,” says the actress about the constituency represented by Roja. Roja who was earlier in the TDP is now a member of the YSR Congress Party.

Interestingly, Vani Viswanath’s Father, an astrologer, had predicted her debut in films and political entry just 6 months after her birth. The Actress herself shared this information.
