IAF Chopper Crashes In Arunachal Pradesh:- In a tragic incident, at least five personnel were killed and the other personnel was critically injured as Indian Air Force (IAF) chopper crashed during a training sortie near Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh.
A Court of inquiry into the incident has been ordered by the IAF. According to reports, a Mi-17 V5 helicopter crashed in Arunachal Pradesh this morning. During a training sortie, the incident took place at around 6:00 a.m. The Mi-17 V5 helicopter was on an air maintenance mission when it crashed.

Such incidents of chopper crash do not seem like the first time. To be recalled, a trainee aircraft crashed in Keesara village near Medchal district in Hyderabad. In another incident, an Indian Air Force (IAF) MIG-23 aircraft has crashed in Rajasthan’s Jodhpur on July 6. Before the aircraft went down in the Balesar area, both the pilots ejected safely.
An Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) of the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed in Arunachal Pradesh’s Hostalam village, about 30 km from Itanagar, killing two people, in July. Two pilots died after a Sukhoi-30 fighter jet crashed near the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border, in May.
