Modi Inaugurates First Ever All India Institute Of Ayurveda:- The first ever All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) has been inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The inauguration was done in the national capital on Tuesday to mark ‘Ayurveda Day’.

The institute is modelled on the lines of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and is set up under the Ministry of AYUSH.

On a whopping budget of around Rs 157 crore, the AIIA, first medical institute under the AYUSH ministry has been set up on a total area of 10.015 acres. The AIIA holds the coveted National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) accreditation.

The neurological and degenerative disease care unit, rheumatology and musculoskeletal care unit, diabetes and metabolic/allergic disorders care unit, Yoga, Panchakarma clinic, Kriya Kalpa, diabetic retinopathy clinic and infertility clinic are the current clinical specialities of the hospital block.

Moreover, it has also pathology, biochemistry, microbiology and radiology laboratories and diagnosis facilities. For the academic session 2016-17, the Post-graduate programme (MD/MS) in Ayurveda at AIIA have already started and the PhD courses have been started for the session 2017-18.
