Narayana College Property Vandalized By ABVP Members In Hyd:- The student wing of ABVP, affiliated to the BJP, allegedly vandalized the property of Narayana College in Hyderabad on Friday. The video has gone viral now is surfacing on all over the internet.
The DGM of the college has been harassing women teachers, alleged the members. Following allegations that Sri Latha, ex-principal of Narayana School in Ashok Nagar, was harassed by Jaya Simha Reddy, the Deputy general manager of Narayana College, the members had entered the general manager’s office of Narayana College, Narayanguda, and vandalized the office. On Thursday evening, a group of youngsters barged into the college building and started breaking everything they could get their hands on.
Jayasimha Reddy, had been harassing women teachers and a couple of years ago, a woman principal of the college ended her life in Hayathnagar, due to his sexual harassment, charged the ABVP members.
Even as Mr. Reddy continued to harass women employees, the officials remained mute spectators, alleged ABVP Telangana Joint Secretary P. Srihari, later in a statement, as per the report.
In this regard, the Hyderabad police have arrested six ABVP members and booked under Sections 148 and 149 of the IPC which deal with rioting and damages to public properties.
“The ABVP members entered his office and broke the furniture and photo frames. We have booked a case against them,” says B Ravinder, inspector of the Narayanguda station. A state-wide strike in all Narayana institutions on Friday has been called on by the ABVP, following the arrest.
“We have proof that she was harassed. We will not let this case go lightly. She had quit Narayana School because of the harassment,” said a member of the ABVP. However, a statement was issued by the Narayana college, saying that the reports are baseless. “Those reports are based on a conversation between two private individuals and have nothing to do with Narayana College,” clarified the college. To look into the issue, the college has appointed an internal committee.
