Interim Protection Plea Of Karti Chidambaram Rejected:- Former Union Minister P Chidambaram's son Karti Chidambaram has been alleged in the money laundering case which is related to INX Media. The Enforcement Directorate arrested Karti Chidambaram in Chennai and has been brought to the national capital and is being investigated. The Supreme Court refused Karti Chidambaram's request of interim protection from the arrest. A bench led by Chief Justice Dipak Misra and justices AM Khanwilkar and DY Chandrachud revealed the decision.
CBI revealed that it wants an extension of Karti Chidambaram's custody before Supreme Court. The further hearing has been pushed to March 8th in this case. Karti Chidambaram challenged that ED has no rights to issue notices based on CBI's FIR. ED also registered a case during May last year against Karti Chidambaram and they produced all the documents before the apex court. Karti Chidambaram revealed that he has nothing to do with the allegations of the CBI and ED.
