Telangana Skips Finance Minster’s Meet In AP:- Telangana government called it a skip for the Finance Minister’s Meet that is hosted by Andhra Pradesh Government. This is the second time Telangana Government preferred to skip the Finance Minister’s Meet. The first meeting was held by Kerala Government while the second one is happening today in AP’s new capital Amaravati. The meeting was called to discuss the terms of reference (ToR) of the 15th Finance Commission.

“The Telangana government is not taking part in the finance ministers’ meeting in Amaravati on May 7th”, Telangana Finance Minister Etela Rajender said in a report. With Southern states losing heavily, South states called it for ToR to discuss their future steps to be taken. The 15th Finance Commission is a body that determines how the tax revenue collected by the Centre is distributed among the states.  AP Finance Minister Y Ramakrishnudu will submit a detailed report to the Centre after completing the meeting.
