GHMC All Set To Plant 40 Lakh Saplings In Hyderabad:- Telangana Government initiated Haritha Haram across the state and the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation is in plans to plant 40 lakh saplings this year. Out of these 35 lakh saplings will be distributed to the citizens across the city for free of cost. The rest of them will be planted across the open places in the city limits on the roads and in parks. 526 open places have been identified. Among the saplings that have been planted last year, 90% of them survived.

GHMC Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy requested schools, colleges, corporate companies and other private institutions to extend their support and bring awareness among the people to take the responsibility to plant trees. All the Telangana leaders and ministers have been informed about Haritha Haram which received wide response all over.
