Balakrishna Inaugurates Cancer Hospital In Vijayawada:- Hindupur MLA and actor Nandamuri Balakrishna inaugurated Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital and Research Institute in Vijayawada yesterday. The institute would construct a cancer hospital in Amaravati in three phases. AP Government allotted 15 acres of land for the hospital in the new capital and the hospital will offer free medical care for the poor people who are not financially capable. Speaking on this occasion, Balakrishna revelaed that his motto is that no one should die of cancer.

Every year over 10 lakh people are being diagnosed with cancer and 7 lakh people have been losing their lives. AP Assembly Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao, Water Resources Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, Vijayawada MP Kesineni Srinivas (Nani), Vijayawada (Central) MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao attended the event. Balakrishna informed that Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital would continue to serve the poor and instill confidence in the cancer patients.
