Kochi Airport To Remain Shut Till August 26th:- Kerala has been shattered with the worst floods in the history which killed over 100 people and left lakhs homeless. The Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) said that the operations in the airport have been suspended till August 26th. The floods have come to a toll and runway, taxiway have been completely submerged. CIAL issued a statement officially suspending all the operations in the airport. The visuals showing the airport completely submerged have been shaking the internet. The air crafts too have been seen floating in water.
The aerial view pictures shows that the whole area has been surfaced with water. The operations have been moved to Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram. The last one week in the state has been devastating. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan urged the people to contribute for the CM's Relief Fund and the rescue operations are under process. Several people have been shifted to safety places. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will fly to Kerala today and will inspect the state after which he will hold a meeting with the state's Chief Minister.
