Rain Abates In Kerala: Relief Ops Underway:- Kerala has been badly hit by rains and the state has been lost completely with floods and landslides which killed hundreds. Finally, the state received a relief after it received a relief from rains. After nearly two weeks, there was no rainfall registered across the state. Indian Meteorological Department revealed that the state would not receive any rainfall for the next five days. This turned out to be a huge relief for the people and the rescue operations are underway. Kerala Government would now focus on the rehabilitation of lakhs of people who are staying in the relief camps.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan revealed that over 7.24 lakh people have been displaced and their focus is completely on their rehabilitation. He said that 5645 relief camps have been opened in the state. All the essential commodities are directed to these relief camps. Indian Meteorological Department issued no red alert across the 14 districts. The flight operations are set to resume from Kochi Naval Base from tomorrow.
