TRS Won't Go With BJP Under Any Circumstances: KTR:- Information technology (IT) and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao has ruled out any kind of alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in future, citing strong ideological differences with the national party.

The Minister said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was the most secular person in the State who is known for his contribution towards constructions of temples and mosques alike.

He recalled that the Chief Minister was accountable for construction of Iqbal Minar in Siddipet and stated that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government had extended all support to celebrate festivals of all religions as well as extending all government schemes to all sections of society without any bias.

The Minister was speaking at Telangana Bhavan on Friday when Congress minority cell leaders led by Abid Rasool Khan and Khaleel Ur Rahman joined the TRS.

He said the TRS would play a major role in national politics since the party was confident of winning 16 of 17 Lok Sabha seats in the general elections next year.

His comments come amid opposition's assertions that the TRS, which is going it alone in the December 7 Telangana Assembly polls, will join hands with the saffron party after the election.

"The rumors that are being spread and allegations being leveled that we will go with the BJP..under any circumstances the TRS party would never go with (Prime Minister) Narendra Modi or the BJP, I promise," Rao said.

He further said, the attitude of the TRS and its president has been to see humans as humans, regardless of their religion, unlike others, who treat Muslims or minorities in the country as "voting machines."

He expressed confidence that the TRS would return to power in the state with a record majority in the assembly polls.
Rao also claimed that the TRS would win 16 of the 17 Lok Sabha seats in the State. "I am also confident that with your blessings and support, we will get 16 out of the 17 parliament seats in Telangana. Who will sit in the chair in Delhi, that also will be decided by the people of Telangana? I promise you that as well," he said.
