Polavaram Project Enters Guinness World Records

Polavaram Project Enters Guinness World Records:- Andhra Pradesh government took things prestigiously for the Polavaram irrigation project and it created two Guinness World Records for pouring the highest amount of concrete along with largest continuous concrete pour in a day. Navayuga Engineering Company Limited which is working for the project started pouring concrete on Sunday morning at 8 AM and ended up at Monday morning at 8 AM.

Rishinath, the official adjudicator from Guinness World Records Ltd declared the records. 32,100 cubic metres of concrete has been poured and this broke the record of 21,550 cubic metres which is holding the record from Dubai in 2018. Chandra Babu Naidu revealed that the record will not be broken any time in the near future. Chandra Babu revealed that he had a special focus on Polavaram project from the first day and they received an award from the Central Board of Irrigation and Power (CBIP).

As per the records, AP Government spent Rs 15,585 crores on the project out of which Rs 6726 crores have been received from the Centre. The Polavaram project will have interlink to several rivers in AP.
