KTR, Harish Rao To Compete To Secure Victory For TRS In General Elections:- Telangana Rashtra Samithi working president K T Rama Rao and party senior leader T Harish Rao, after getting into a new arena in the perceived race for supremacy in TRS, will now compete in securing victory for the party with highest ever majority in each of Lok Sabha segments under their purview in the approaching General Election.
The aforesaid became apparent from Harish’s assertion at his Medak Lok Sabha segment level party meeting on Friday, attended by KTR, that he targeted to win the seat by over 5 lakh vote majority.
Apart from reflecting his supreme confidence, Harish’s statement sent a strong message that he is ready to show his political acumen over again.
In the recently concluded Assembly elections in Telangana, Harish won the Siddipet seat by securing a significant majority of 1.19 lakh votes. He also played a key role in the devastating defeat of Congress senior leaders A Revanth Reddy, DK Aruna and others in Mahabubnagar district in the Assembly elections.
KTR also displayed his leadership qualities in winning for TRS all the seats in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and other parts of the state. KTR was allotted to take charge of the TRS affairs in Greater Hyderabad and parts of Nizamabad, Karimnagar, and Nalgonda in the Assembly election. He targets to win 16 Member of Parliament (MP) seats, out of 17, each by more than 2 lakh majority.
KTR instructed his party cell to work hard and guarantee that the TRS candidate wins the seat by more than 4 lakh votes, in the first meeting of the Karimnagar Lok Sabha segment, which covers the TRS working president’s Siricilla Assembly segment as well. Leaders said that KTR and Harish would play a key role in the victory of TRS in the Lok Sabha election also.
Taking part in the meeting, KTR said that TRS leaders would now compete with one another in maximizing the winning margin for TRS in their respective constituencies, instead of just competing with Congress or BJP in the approaching Lok Sabha elections. He challenged the TRS leaders of Medak Parliamentary constituency to display its strength by winning with a majority that is larger than the one recorded in Karimnagar Parliamentary constituency.
“Even if Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) come together, they will not form the government at the Centre,” the TRS leader said.
“Leaders at the Centre were always concerned about developing their native states and never bothered about Telangana. The time has come for Telangana to prove its mettle at the Centre,” he asserted.
