Mohan Babu Sentenced One Year Jail In Cheque Bounce Case:- Veteran actor Mohan Babu is away from films and is busy with politics. He recently joined YSRCP and is campaigning for the party in Andhra Pradesh. A court based in Hyderabad sentenced Mohan Babu one year jail in a cheque bounce case from 2010. Director YVS Chowdary directed Mohan Babu, Manchu Vishnu and Ileana starrer Saleem in 2010 and Mohan Babu issued a cheque for Chowdary as remuneration. The cheque bounced and Chowdary could not get his promised remuneration after several attempts.

YVS Chowdary approached Erramanjil Court and the court sentenced one year jail for the actor for not honoring his commitment. Mohan Babu has been granted immediate bail but he has been asked to pay Rs 41.75 lakhs for YVS Chowdary. After Saleem ended up as a disaster, Mohan Babu showed no interest to pay the remuneration for YVS Chowdary. The film made on a budget of Rs 25 crores was produced by Sri Laksmi Prasanna Pictures.
