Rs 281 Cr Unaccounted Cash Seized in Madhya Pradesh: The Income Tax officials seized Rs 281 crores of unaccounted cash in the country yesterday. Serious searches have been conducted after the election dates inched. Raids were conducted in Bhopal, Indore, Goa and Delhi. The income tax officials issued statements that big portion of cash got transferred through hawala from a party's headquarters located in New Delhi. Rs 20 crores got moved from the residence of a senior politician in the national capital.

After they received a tip, the Income Tax officers conducted raids on the residences of close aides of Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath. After a two days long exercise, Rs 281 crore racket was busted and the initial investigation revealed that the cash seized belongs to a national party which is operated from New Delhi. The officials located number of illegal transactions and the investigation on this is currently on.
