Vijay Mallya's Appeal Against Extradition Rejected:- Liquor baron Vijay Mallya who is absconding from the country is residing in London. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) have been trying their best to extradite him back to the country. Vijay Mallya appealed in the UK court with a written appeal against his extradition. The UK Court denied his request. Justice William Davis asked Vijay Mallya to apply for oral consideration within five days. The UK home office spokesman said that Vijay Mallya's application has been rejected.

No fresh evidence need to be produced during this period clarified the UK Court. A top official from the Enforcement Directorate clarified that Vijay Mallya will be extradited back to the country at the earliest and his chances of staying in London turned bleak. Vijay Mallya will be given a chance for the court for a brief oral hearing. This is the first case of extradition appeal of an economic offender rejected by the court of UK. Vijay Mallya owes Rs 9000 crores to Indian banks and he flew from the country without paying them back.
