Telangana Govt Forms Panel Against Sexual Harassment in Telugu Cinema:- A year after young actress Sri Reddy made some sensational comments against Telugu actors and technicians regarding casting couch, the Telangana government formed a committee to inquire about the issue. A PIL has been fooled by a women's organization last year. The committee started working early this month. Over 15 women's rights organizations met Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav to set up a committee to address the issues of women in Telugu cinema.

After a year, Telangana government formed a panel and GO 984 has been issued. Along with prominent names of Telugu cinema, Professor Vasanthi from the NALSAR University, Dr Rama Devi, doctor at the Gandhi Medical College and Vijaya Lakshmi, a social activist will be active in the committee. From Tollywood, Supriya, Jhansi Laxmi, and director Nandini Reddy will be active. The panel also includes Tamareddy Bharadwaj, Sudhakar Reddy and Ram Mohan Rao, TSFDC Chairman along with several cops. The committee will look into all the complaints and necessary action will be taken against the culprits.
