Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Orders to Halt Works in Amaravati: Reports:- A day after taking oath as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jaganmohan Reddy has asked the Chief Secretary to halt all the engineering works across the state owing to the financial burden.
According to reports, Jagan also ordered for the halt of all the works in the capital region.
Jagan in his review meeting with Chief Secretary and other officialsopined that the construction of permanent Secretariat, Assembly, and High Court is not required at this moment as the temporary ones are functioning without any hassle.
The Telugu Desam Party, which ruled AP government for 5 years, has put tender for Rs 45000 crore of works in the capital region, putting severe pressure on the state's treasury.
Reportedly halting the engineering works could improve the financial status of the state.
On June 6th, Jagan will be holding a review meeting with Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) and a critical decision is likely to be taken in this meeting.
